Mewtwo available in Pokemon Black and White Versions!

I was looking through my subscription box on YouTube today and saw that the new Pokemon event will be that Mewtwo will be available to be caught in Pokemon Black and White starting on Feburary 12, 2012 which is this Sunday. It knows Shadow Ball, Electro Ball, and Psystrike. The 4th move is not known yet from what I have seen and we do not know how we are going to be able to catch Mewtwo, but is confirmed that this is going to happen. Below is a link to the official Pokemon website to see this news and news that the TCG for Pokemon is finally bringing back EX cards!

ITS ABOUT TIME IGN, and my first rant.

IGN finally realizes how bad COD is and how it needs to change (But it will not) which is what I have been saying since Modern Warfare 2 arrived and how the fact I got bored of the game before the summer of 2010.I agree with the article that I will link below except for the fact that COD’s story is tough to follow because honesty what story is there and the fact that the multiplayer was fun. The only fun in COD is zombies and the first Modern Warfare which is the best in the franchise’s history.

Link for the article before the rant starts: http://games.ign.com/articles/121/1217539p1.html

Edit: I have nothing to say about you PC gamers because you do not trash on anyone and I feel bad people talk crap about you guys, but it is nice to see that people play PC games other than World of Warcraft, League of Legends and the other more popular PC games.

The funny thing is, Activison, Infinity Ward and Treyarch will never change COD games because fanboys think “COD is the best game series in the world and every other game is SH*T. I am sorry COD fans/fan boys but I do not consider you guys hardcore gamers or true gamers because you talk crap about other games that are better than COD and you think Nintendo is crap. I will admit that Wii games have sucked the past few years, but there were some good ones. The 3DS also has the best game lineup this year will games like: Resident Evil: Revalations, Kid Icarus Uprising, Paper Mario 3DS, Luigi’s Mansion2, and many others than would be too much to put on this post right now.I also love the 3DS and what Nintendo has done with it. COD fans are not the only ones who thrash us Nintendo fans. A lot of so called “gamer” also constantly talk crap about Nintendo. Oh and for you Sony fans out there the 3DS has already sold millions of units and I am pretty sure that is a lot more than your Vita. I do not want to start a console wars here, but Nintendo fans you have to stop talking about how the Wii U is going to be the best Next-Gen console. Nobody knows how the new consoles will be but now is not the time to play favorites. Anyway, back to you COD fans, here are some game series that are better than your puny COD and that ACTUALLY MAKE SENCE: Fire Emblem, Halo, Super Mario, Zelda, God of War, Infamous, Uncharted, Pokemon, List can go on and on. I would take out World at War from COD games because since the stoy does not have to make sence since it was based on WW2. As for the Modern Warfare games other than the first, what is so “Modern Warfare” about it? We are not fighiting the Russians in war now and I am pretty sure we do not use Rangers or a Model 1887 in battle. Also, we do not have special perks and other skills in real war and the fact that they are imagining a WW3 is sick and cruel. Shame on you COD creators for making all these lies in your games with you wars. I think Black Ops was supposed to be about the Cold War but if it were not for Zombies and the Avenged Sevennfold song the game would suck……oh wait IT STILL does. I think that is enough ranting for now, but I am far from over. Stay tuned for part 2 of my rant which will talk more about why COD sucks, and the Nintendo haters + more.

A Potential Act that Would Be Even Worse Than SOPA/PIPA

***EDIT – I apologize for the really long post, I didn’t plan on writing this much. But please read it when you get a chance, it’s a very important issue to be conscious of.***

It seems like the responsibility and integrity of our federal legislators is rapidly diminishing.

We should be happy, right? The widely-supported blackout across the Internet on Wednesday was extremely successful in raising both awareness and protest against SOPA and PIPA. It was so successful, in fact, that Congressional support of the bills has become the minority, with the majority of legislators now in opposition to the acts. That’s great news, and everyone who took part in protesting should be both satisfied and proud. Unless something unheard of happens, SOPA and PIPA seem to be pretty much dead.

But what do you know, just when it seems like all threats have been terminated, a new piece of legislation is revealed by Congress: The “Protecting Children from Internet Pornographers Act of 2011.” This bill sounds good, right? No rational person in their right mind would support child pornography, and it is definitely something that should be stopped. But once again, the drafters of the bill have made it so over-generalized and power-wielding that it is even more of a threat to our rights than SOPA/PIPA were. Listen to the clauses of the Bill:  ”Under language approved 19 to 10 by a House committee, the firm that sells you Internet access would be required to track all of your Internet activity and save it for 18 months, along with your name, the address where you live, your bank account numbers, your credit card numbers, and IP addresses you’ve been assigned” (quoted from the link below). WHAT!?!? This is ridiculous! All the government needs to do to have access to this information is simply ask your Internet provider to hand it over, and they have no choice but to give it to them. And somehow, the legislators in favor of this act don’t believe it to be the slightest violation of our privacy and rights.

Would this be helpful in catching child pornographers? Maybe. Safe to say it would probably catch a few. But think about how few child pornographers there are in the first place. 0.00000001% of people? Probably less. Granted that still makes a few thousand, but of the 307 million people in the United States, that’s still a completely obscure number. If they’re paranoid about monitoring our every move, it’s much more difficult for them to find such an obscure group of people.

No, what this comes down to is the government’s attempt to monitor our every move. They couldn’t stop piracy through SOPA/PIPA, so they’re using this act as a secondary try. Who says they’re just going to be looking for pedophiles out there? They have access to tens of millions of people’s every move on the Internet, and what legislator wouldn’t want to use that as an opportunity to catch wrongdoers? They’ll never admit this, and it can’t be preemptively proven, but we all know it’s 99.9% likely to happen. For those of you who have read the classic 1984 by George Orwell, the US government seems to be taking the role of the book’s all-seeing, dictatorial “Big Borther.”

Oh, and just to further prove that point, guess who is one of the driving supporters of the bill? Lamar Smith, the founder of SOPA/PIPA. If that’s not proof that this bill has different intentions than its title states, then I don’t know what is. It sickens me.

The primary threat of the success of this bill is that the average person won’t know its true intentions. From the act’s title, if you oppose it than you can be automatically labeled as a supporter of child pornography. I’m sure that they’ll have plenty of commercials and posters advocating the need to “Stop online child pornography now!” and most of the unenlightened citizens will wholeheartedly support it solely because of its title. When it comes to a simple vote in Congress, most legislators won’t want to be written down in the country’s history as opponents of the act to prevent child pornography. While SOPA and PIPA were clearly wrong to the average citizen, this new bill will most likely be widely supported and seemingly innocent. I’ve heard that this is actually a popular government tactic: To present a less-appealing bill that will most likely cause widespread indignation, and then sneak in an innocent-seeming but equally restrictive bill in the aftermath.

Sorry for the extremely long post, I’d be impressed if anyone is still reading at this point. I’m rarely political, but ignorant and abusive legislators such as these always make me outraged and disappointed. These people should not be in office. We’re having one of the worst economic recessions in the nation’s history, the environment is slowly going to hell, and third-world countries are full of violence and poverty, yet our government decides to focus on corruptly taking away our rights?! You’ve gotta be kidding me! Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of responsible, well-intentioned legislators out there; the problem is that they’re only a minority.

Luckily, this act hasn’t gone before the whole House of Representatives yet, and there’s still plenty of time for it to be denied. But at the rate its going, it’s a very present threat. In the meantime, we need to take as much action (if not more) as we did with SOPA and PIPA. Post about it on WordPress, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, anywhere to get the word out. If I find any safe and reputable petitions against it, I’ll be sure to post a link to let everyone get involved. This bill and the people behind it are outright disgusting, and we can’t just sit here and let them win.

Sorry again for the ridiculously long post, and thanks to anyone who actually read it to the end. If you want a great article about even more information on the bill, go to the link below (it’s very informative). In the meantime, enjoy the Internet while it still is free. …On that note, have a great day!

STOP SOPA AND PIPA

Hey everyone,

I’m assuming that by now you have heard about the PIPA and SOPA acts that are trying to be passed through Congress and the House of Reps. If you haven’t, check it out. In short, the federal government is trying to pass these two acts in order to limit online piracy and copyright infringement. Sounds good, right? WRONG! The acts are being pushed by members of the government who know very little about the Internet, and in their ignorance they have widely developed the acts to take down any website that contains unoriginal material, regardless of whether or not it has any monetary infringement. Sites like YouTube, Reddit, and even our site itself would all violate the terms of the acts and would thus be taken down. This is serious! It would greatly violate our freedom of online speech and essentially ruin the Internet by removing every site that contains unoriginal copyrighted material. In protest of these outrageous acts, many sites (including Google, Reddit, and Wikipedia) have designated today as a “blackout” day in which they block their sites in protest of SOPA/PIPA. Many other websites, including Facebook and YouTube, are also working to oppose the act by protesting and spreading information. So, I figured I’d make a quick post to show my support of the SOPA/PIPA protest and help to educate anyone who didn’t already know about it. If you visit Google, click on the image and it will redirect you to a page where you can sign a petition in protest and even contact your state representatives! Otherwise, do simple things like posting a Facebook status or changing your YouTube homepage to “STOP SOPA AND PIPA.” The Internet is really at stake here, and we all need to take action to show our protest. Even if it’s something small like a post, tweet, or comment, be sure to do your part to save the Internet. Otherwise, it’ll be gone before you know it.

I hope this was informative to anyone who didn’t previously know about the acts, and inspiring to anyone who wants to take action. Thanks!

Trailer of the Year: Assassin’s Creed: Revalations (Fan voted and I am glad it won at least one award.)

Recap to make you guys read even more!: Portal 2 won a lot of awards, Arkham City won three awards, Nintendo makes a stand with LoZ going into the VG Hall of Fame, MW3 was not the game a lot of people thought it would which is clear to see why, its MW2 with just the same old pointless Campaign and updated graphics nothing more and the same ol’ boring CoD. I hope they stop making CoD games because after the first MW(which is the only game I like) they got worse except for the zombies in Black Ops. There was not a lot of Sony or 3DS love out there or any Gears of War 3 love,  but Uncharted 3 won 2 awards and the 3DS won one award for best handleld. Also, we did not see any Halo this year since 343 took over and all we got a remake which did not win anything since it is a remake and the original version of Halo: Combat Evolved won many game of the year awards and is in the top 5 of the best selling Original Xbox Games (Halo 2 owns the top spot and Halo 3 is still the top selling Xbox 360 game untill Halo 4 comes out so good luck 343 Industries yo know you have my full support

Can I get a drumroll please because here is the award we have all been waiting for…. Its the nominees for Game of the Year and the winner. (CoD fans should stop watching now)

The Nominees:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Batman: Arkham City

Portal 2

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

And the Winner is………: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim! (This was my last second change in my choice for Game of the Year and I still have to wait to get it but I am proud and glad that an RPG game finally wins this award and it honestly is the best game out there right now with Skyward Sword being a close second. Hopefully next year will be even better and that a Nintendo wins this award which will not happen since Halo 4 is comming in the Fall of 2012. Thanks for reading everyone and comment below on your thoughts on this year’s winners and awards show which was funny.

Time for a new theme?

I know nobody on the staff other than me wants to change the theme for the site, but I think it is time to change it. We need to put a theme where we can put our own banner on the top so the site looks better and attracts more people. I found our good banner that a friendof mine made so whatever theme I/We choose, I can format the banner so it fits to the theme. I am going to test some possible new themes for the site on one of my test sites and I will let you guys know which ones we should vote on. Also, I apologise for not updating the site for a while and I know ALOT of good games came out this Holiday Season, but we have all been busy with school so it is tough. I know I am getting some games for Christmas so I will make videos when I get new games and I will add a link to my new youtube channel that is for video games only in this post. Thanks to all the viewers who still come here and I hope you all understand that it is hard to manage the site when we have to worry about school. This comming Holiday break for me I will promise that almost every page will be updated and that there will be a lot of changes for the site to make it better.
