Since Thanksgiving is over the holidays are even closer and now the huge deals are here! Heres a quick buyers guide for anyone buying video games this Holiday Season! These are 10 tips that I thought of and I hope it helps everyone out!
1. Buy your games at Gamestop and not those larger stores like Walmart or Target- Gamestop will always restock on the popular games they don’t have and if you have the new powerup rewards pro card, then the price for anything you buy there will be cheaper.
2. Online shopping- This is great for people who do not like to go to crowded malls or busy game stores. I would try to go for those free shipping deals and look for special holiday sales.
3. Shop Early- All the major games of 2010 have come out and if you want Halo Reach, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and the other popular games make shure you go to the game store quickly because those games are usually the first to go.
4. Look for great deals- We all love to save money so if you can’t find a great deal at your local game store try another place where you know you can find great deals.
5. Shop on Amazon or Ebay- You can always find great deals on either site and they usually include free shipping on your purchase. You can also find great prices on new and used games and this is a perfect backup if you can’t find anything at gamestop.
6. Do not shop late- If you are one of those people who love waiting for those really good late sales, make shure you don’t do that with video games or any electronics because chances are the stuff you want are gona be all sold out.
7. Use a store like Walmart or Target as a backup to Gamestop- If Gamestop does run out of what your looking for then theres always the department stores which also should have great deals and have what your looking for. Just make shure you shop early and not right before the Holiday.
8. Use online shopping as a last resort- I never used to be an online shopper because of all the problems you can have, but if you are a late shopper or what you want is sold out everywhere you look then just try an online store. I remember I wanted Mario Kart Wii last year, but did not get it because it was sold out everywhere my family looked even online did not have it, but my parents should of checked Ebay or Amazon.
9. If shopping online look for free shipping- As an Ebay buyer I hate paying for shipping and always try to find free shipping. When buying video games or anything for your consoles on sites like Amazon or Ebay always look for free shipping even if it means a higher price because it is always a hassle to pay for shipping
10. Use gift cards, member cards, or cupons- Member cards like the Gamestop’s Power Up Rewards Pro card, or a Target Red Card can give you great discounts on your purchase and the points usually add up on your card which means you can get something good in the future. Cupons are always handy so make shure you have those when going to Target or Walmart.
Hope this guide helps everyone with their Holiday Shopping and hope everyone has a safe and Happy Holidays!~sapphire 11 P.S. Im 2 posts away from my 100th post!
