Hey there. I just want to end the tension of posting comments by posting this link:

If anyone needs to be educated of how to write a comment, I guess just read this.
Thanks

this might work and SOMEONE marked a spam comment not spam………
What comment was that?
I believe that a comment’s content is much more important than whether it is truly spam. For example, if a comment reads, “This is a really cool site”, but it is obviously from a spammer, then it should be kept. Thus, if multiple comments ensue from the same user of which carry similar, superficial content, those should absolutely be deleted; variation of comments in terms of detail is not a negative, to add. Clearly, there is no reason why comments with positive content should be deleted.
i don’t care how nice the comment is. If something is spam is has to be deleted and people need to learn not make a comment spam! Spam is never good for a site, email, or anything else because spam will keep comming back. That is why we keep getting therm.
a) we’ll keep getting spam regardless of whether we delete comments or not. it’s just something that happens.
b) I consider spam to be just something completely irrelevant. if it’s positive or negative, I think it should stay.
also, sorry I havent done much on the site lately. hopefully that will change within a few weeks
Well here is a definition of what blog spamming is, taken off of Wikipedia:
“Blog spam, or “blam” for short, is spamming on weblogs. In 2003, this type of spam took advantage of the open nature of comments in the blogging software Movable Type by repeatedly placing comments to various blog posts that provided nothing more than a link to the spammer’s commercial web site. Similar attacks are often performed against wikis and guestbooks, both of which accept user contributions.”
Pretty much, comments can only be classified as spam if there is a link to the person’s commercial website. Hopefully this ends our disagreements about spam comments.
only delete spam comments that have a lot of links in the comment and if the comment is not in English then delete it. I guess we can now approve all of the other comments as long as they are not like what I said.
