Nintendo being Nintendo

As usual Nintendo of America will not be releasing popular games from Japan. Games include: Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, and Pandora’s Tower. Now we all know Nintendo shows trailers for these awesome future games, but never release and Nintendo yet again is starting their infamous trend again. Check out this link to the IGN site for full info on this news. I just hope the future 3DS games we saw at E3 will release…… Eventually!

Halo Anniversary Supports Kinect

I am happy to say that one of my Kinect dreams came true. A shooter game can now be used with the Kinect and to top it off it is the Halo remake that will support Kinect. The only downside to this is that you sadly can not use your hands to shoot a gun or throw grenades. Instead Halo Anniversary will have a motion camera via Kinect so camera scrolling will be easier. This is the first major franchise to support Kinect so let’s hope this is a smart move and that this does not ruin the game.

Megaman Legends 3 for the 3DS

Ever play Megaman 64 or Megaman Legends before? The game, (the both are the same game) released in early 2001, branched out from its 8-bit predecessors and introduced a 3rd-person action-shooter-rpg-whatever you want to call it. Because of such high acclaim and the cliffhanger ending, fans desired a sequel; to the players of the nintendo version’s demise, Megaman Legends 2 was released only on the Playstation, in 1999 (Megaman Legends was originally released on the Playstation in 1997). Hopes were risen and shot down after numerous proposals and denies of creating a third installment. FINALLY, after years and years of waiting, Capcom announced this new Megaman Legends, exclusively for none other than the infamous 3DS! Wow, what a long history.

Not only am I excited that one of my favorite game series will finally be continued, even though I only obtained Megaman 64, but this drastically increases the chances for Megaman to appear in the new Super Smash Bros., another one of my favorite series, coming out for the Wii U and 3DS; megaman and nintendo are finally one again. The release date is TBD, but I hope to find out more on this stellar game! A miniature 10-mission version of the game is being released in the 3DS shop channel thingy soon, though nothing done in that mode will be done in the Main Game.

Now I’m actually contemplating on whether I should get one of these 3DS’s, since I would also like to purchase the new Kid Icarus game, which anyone reading this should definitely check out because the multiplayer mode looks amazing, and it would grant an excuse not to get the Wii U, which I won’t be getting if it costs more than $300 unless there are other awesome games for it other than smash in what looks like super HD.

Our 2nd Anniversary!!!

Just to think we have had this site for two years and the success we have had in these years. I came up with the name and idea for the site one day in 8th grade. I remember telling the staff members about it and we all loved the idea. I made the site after school and made my infamous spelling mistake by speling gaming wrong. Honestly I though we would be well over 20,000 views by now and have our own domain as well (cough cough @ ruby lol). By the way our most busy day was our first day of the site in which we got over 100 views on this day 2 years ago and it still is to this very day. Anyway these two years have been successful and I know many more will come in the future. I plan on changing the theme so that we can get a nice big banner to appeal to viewers. Since school is over next week and I am getting my laptop back soon, I will update each page as much as I can and I hope the rest of the staff does too. Finally I would like to thank the staff for all the work they have done to make this site great, and I would like to thank our viewers for keeping the site alive!

EARTH DEFENSE FORCE: INSECT ARMAGEDDON

So this was announced before E3, but I just found out that the Sequel to EDF 2017, named EDF: Insect Armageddon, is in production! I just looked into it and it looks amazing. The graphics have been greatly improved, there will be over 300 weapons (double what the first EDF had), four classes of armor that change the type of soldier you are, and even more types of giant monstrous bugs! Set in Detroit sometime after the events of the first game, this over-the-shoulder shooter has an all new story, as well as several new game modes. The main story is for 1-3 players via splitscreen or online, and will feature mission selections just like the first game. Morevoer, there’s a new 6-player online survival mode where you and your friends face endless waves of the monstrous beasts (I think something’s going to replace my love for COD’s Nazi Zombies). The controls of the battle mechs have also been greatly improved (that’s one of the things which I think the first one needed to fix the most), so taking out bugs and alien robots in a helicopter will prove to be much easier. That’s all just a taste of what the new game has to offer.

Did I mention this game is supposed to come out on July 5th, less than a month away?!? Even better, it’s available for both 360 and PS3 this time around. Apparently there are two unique preorders for this game: Gamestop will give you 15 unique weapons to be used by the Battle Armor (the slow but strong class), while ordering from Bestbuy gets you 15 unique weapons for the Jet Armor (the faster class that has a jetpack). Both preorders include a few weapons for the other two classes as well.

The first EDF was honestly my favorite game on the 360, and I can’t wait for this one. Just like EDF 2017, Insect Armageddon will probably slide under the radar for many people and not get all the glory it deserves. It’s even supposed to have a base price of $40 because they know that it won’t be a blockbuster hit (for me, that just makes it even better). But trust me, this game seems like it will be truly worth it. The introduction of co-op, Armor classes, new enemies, new environments, a new story, and 150 ADDITIONAL weapons makes this a game that should NOT be missed.

Day 2 BREAKING NEWS: Nintendo finally reveals new console.

At Nintendo’s News Conference this morning  (While we were at the prison we call school, thank god it is over in 2 weeks) Nintendo released their new console Wii U. The rumors of the new controller are true and many new games will be comming including a new Super Smash Bros. Go to G4.com, watch E3 on G4, or go to IGN.com for more E3 news. I am sad though because there is no news on a Pikmin 3 or a release date for the new fire emblem YET!

E3 2011 is coming!

It is finally June so that means E3 is comming soon! I will make a page for it like last year and I will update the page when I find out some news. Since my laptop is still getting fixed I will use my new Droid to update the site since the WordPress app works on this phone unlike the iPod touch version.

Edit: E3 starts tomorrow so I will put up the page tonight and it will be updated every night from Monday-Thursday.
