Ever play Megaman 64 or Megaman Legends before? The game, (the both are the same game) released in early 2001, branched out from its 8-bit predecessors and introduced a 3rd-person action-shooter-rpg-whatever you want to call it. Because of such high acclaim and the cliffhanger ending, fans desired a sequel; to the players of the nintendo version’s demise, Megaman Legends 2 was released only on the Playstation, in 1999 (Megaman Legends was originally released on the Playstation in 1997). Hopes were risen and shot down after numerous proposals and denies of creating a third installment. FINALLY, after years and years of waiting, Capcom announced this new Megaman Legends, exclusively for none other than the infamous 3DS! Wow, what a long history.
Not only am I excited that one of my favorite game series will finally be continued, even though I only obtained Megaman 64, but this drastically increases the chances for Megaman to appear in the new Super Smash Bros., another one of my favorite series, coming out for the Wii U and 3DS; megaman and nintendo are finally one again. The release date is TBD, but I hope to find out more on this stellar game! A miniature 10-mission version of the game is being released in the 3DS shop channel thingy soon, though nothing done in that mode will be done in the Main Game.
Now I’m actually contemplating on whether I should get one of these 3DS’s, since I would also like to purchase the new Kid Icarus game, which anyone reading this should definitely check out because the multiplayer mode looks amazing, and it would grant an excuse not to get the Wii U, which I won’t be getting if it costs more than $300 unless there are other awesome games for it other than smash in what looks like super HD.
