The Story of Noble Seven by sapphire11

Mission 1

Time: 14:32

Location: ONI Sword Base

Noble Seven Enabled

Missions have been different without the other members of the noble team. It sucks being the lone wolf of the group, but I guess it means I am going to be the best Spartan on the team. I have been sent back to the sword base because I have been notified that the Covenant have landed on the sword base and they have the base surrounded with grunts and elites, ready to pound on any Spartan that comes their way.  As for my situation, I am stuck on this base with thousands of Grunts and other Covenant members to mess with.  That is what you get for being a Lone Wolf I guess, and now I get to pay the price. Thanks to advanced technology, I can still record all of my fierce action on the battlefield. Now is the time to test this tech gear out since I see some grunts over there. All I have for weapons is an assault rifle and a magnum, which I adore very much. As for grenades, all I have are two frag grenades. Damn it! They gave me sprint instead of armor lock! Wait until those bastards see what I do for them for giving me shitty equipment and making me a lone wolf. Alright, time to shoot the head of these damned grunts! I just need to get a good aim.  I fired three bullets and all of them hit each grunt in the head, but I know I can do much better than this! Time to wipe them out with my assault rifle! TAKE THIS YOU DUMB GRUNTS!!!! Many bullets went flying in the air and I knew for sure they were all dead. It turns out one lucky ass made it through, but my pistol made sure that that grunt had nowhere to run. As for the rest of the swarm, I took them out easily and only slightly damaged myself. I quickly defeated the elites that were invading the sword base, but one almost got me with an energy sword. I somehow quickly dodged it and assassinated the Elite. I then took the energy sword and took out the rest of the elites. After my mission was a complete success, I was then told to go to the waterfront to meet up with my fellow noble team members. I knew this was completely some made up bs they made up so I would be happy to go.  Man, I am tired from all this crap they give me called food! It tastes very bad, but the drinks are not that bad.  It is almost midnight, so I guess I will go to sleep and record more events tomorrow when I wake up and see if I really do find the other 6 noble team members on waterfront.  Noble Seven: Disabled due to rest. Remember Reach!

Mission 2

Time: 4:22

Location: UNSC Space Station & Waterfront

Noble Seven Enabled

Yawn! I actually like waking up early every morning because it really does do you well later in the day. Anyway, today the UNSC said I am going to see the rest of the Noble Team on waterfront. It is now time for me to enter the drop pod, and see what hell hole awaits for me on waterfront. I know it is some sort of trap. I will now stop recording since you cannot record when dropping out of the sky. After countless minutes of falling in the air, Noble Seven finally crashed onto the waterfront.  Finally I made it here and_____________? Is that the rest of the Noble Team?  Damn it! It’s only holograms! This means that they are here, but they either are somewhere else or the Noble Team got captured by Elites and are being held captive here on the waterfront! Damn. This is not good- maybe I can still call one of the members and they will pick up! Beep Beep Beep!!! “Heeelllooo? This is Carter who the hell is this?” “This is Noble Seven, and you sound scared; are you guys ok?” “Seven, is that you? Damn, how the hell did you know we were captured? And thank god you’re ok.” “Well, I saw the holograms you guys left, so I knew something was wrong. I decided to try to call you and see if everything is ok.” “Well, sadly, some of the other Noble Team members are unconscious and the others are injured. Those elites really do pack a punch; I am just happy I am still unharmed.” “That sucks! Don’t worry. I am on my way to get you guys, since the UNSC wanted me to come here to take some elites down anyway.” Sounds good, Seven. Just don’t get yourself killed out there, ok?” “Got it, Carter. See ya soon.” Click.   Alright! I get to finally be the hero for once! This is going to be one long night, though. But I will not fail! I will save my fellow soldiers and finally be reunited! I just need to plan out how I will attack the elite force when I arrive at the waterfront. Here is a battle tip for whoever reads this: Never go with the simple run and fire plan because that is very cowardly and just stupid. Always have a strategy planed out and ready to go. Also, have a backup ready in case your first plan is a complete failure. Trust me, this really does work, and that is what I will be doing right now. So I stop recording, start writing all this, and think of a good way to beat the crap out of the damn elites!  Nobel Seven out! Remember Reach!  

Mission 3

Time: 21:53

Location: Waterfront   

Noble Seven Enabled        

I have finally completed my plan for demolishing those damn elites. I am going to hide behind that rock and just keep shooting them in the head with my magnum, and then shoot the rest down with my rifle. I will throw some grenades and I hope they do not dodge the grenades (which the elites will obviously do). Here I go, and I hope this works! Noble Seven did weaken some elites with his magnum and took out another elite with his grenades. Now, Noble Seven only has his assault rifle left to take on about 5 elites! “Ugh, finally, I am awake now. I just need to get my… Wait a sec, where is my pistol, and where the hell am I?” “Its about time Kat! Im glad someone else is awake other than me!” “Hello, Carter; where are we and who is killing all of the elites?” “Well Kat, it is Nobel Seven and he is doing an excellent job with those elites.” “That is true, Carter, but can Seven actually finish the job?”  “Yes he can, Jorge,- just be patient and you will see. I think this guy could be the strongest of the Noble Team someday.”  Damn! These Elites really deal lots of damage, but I will not give up! Wait a second… I see an Energy Sword on the wall over there. Aha! I am gonna get that sword and show that elite who’s the boss around here! Noble Seven swiftly dodges the bullets from the Plasma Repeater and picks up the sword. Ok, now it is time to end this!!! Take this, alien scum!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! The Elite quickly falls to the ground and a puddle of  purple blood appears under his body. Finally, I am finished- and now, it is time to be reunited with my fellow Spartans! “Well done. Seven, that was a fine display of elite- killing. Some of the best I have ever seen!” “I agree with you too, Carter- I could not do better myself.” “This rookie is even better than Nobel Six was when he was a rookie!” “I agree with you too, Emily- he really is a better rookie than I was… sorta…” I was always curious and did not know what to do. Woah! I did not notice you guys there and I m glad to see that everyone is fine. Oh, and were you all just watching me save you guys? “Yes we did, Seven, and we were all surprised with how well you took down those elites. Keep it up, Seven, and you will be a better soldier than I am.” Wow; that is a lot coming from you, Six- now let’s find a place to rest! “I agree. I want to get the hell out of here!” You must really hate this place Kat; and I agree. I am tired.  Since we are all going to bed, I am going to end this with the rest of my team! Noble Team Out! Swords of Savior Chapter 1

“The Great War”

Our story begins with Ike, a burly swordsman with blue hair like the azure sky, and Lloyd Irving, a short but graceful swordsman with a dream to save all of humanity. Recently, Ike had traveled far and wide to meet up with Lloyd in Lloyd’s hometown of Iselia. For the past month, Ike had been in the Wastelands, a barren desert-like place only inhabited by animals. The only interesting part about the Wastelands is that it hosts a lost city that most people believe is haunted, so no one had tread that empty land since the Great War. The Great War was the war to end all wars. Mithos, an evil angel who wanted control over the world, attempted to destroy the mana core, which was the source of all life and prosperity in the world. Without it, the world would go dry, natural resources would nearly disappear and chaos would ensue. Luckily, two heroes, Ike and Lloyd, led an army of their closest allies to stop Mithos and his crusade. This was over twenty years ago.  Ike was in the Wastelands on a scouting mission from the Creamian army. Creamian Intel had received some information about an organization planning to assault and take over the Creamian Empire (which hosted the mana core). What Ike found out on his scouting mission was much worse.

“Whoa!” exclaimed Lloyd. “I can’t believe that you are all the way out in Iselia” He said in disbelief. “What brings you here Ike?” Lloyd gleefully asked. “Lloyd, I’m sorry to say that I’m here on business” Said Ike in a grim tone. “PHHHHH” Lloyd said loudly. “Business shmisniss, we’re all friends here.” Lloyd then gestured to the gray leather couch and gave Ike a cup of freshly brewed apple gel. Ike gratefully took a seat and a sip. “Lloyd…..I found something terrible out while I was on a scouting mission in the Wastelands” Ike nervously mumbled. “What is it buddy?” Lloyd anxiously asked. “Well…if we don’t act quickly, it could develop into another Great War” Ike blurted out. “WHAT?!” questioned Lloyd.

Just then, Lloyd started to remember his participation in the last Great War. Suddenly Lloyd found himself lost in his own memories. “Alright everyone.” Lloyd’s words seem to echo inside the General’s tent he was in. In front of Lloyd were 100 or so soldiers all under the command of Lloyd himself and the leader of the army, Lord Ike. “We will infiltrate the enemy base at dawn!” Lloyd had been creating a master attack plan ever since he was appointed General by Lord Ike. “Any questions?” Lloyd calmly asked. “Are we going to bring in the heavy cavalry general?” asked Presea Combatir, an accomplished axe woman from the small village of Ozette. “Of course Presea, I could never forget you in a plan of such importance.” Lloyd languidly replied. Presea immediately blushed. “Any OTHER questions?” Lloyd asked angrily. “Yeah, I have one” said Marth, a swordsman with blinding speed and also the second in command to the general. Lloyd sighed. “Who is going to be in the front line?” Marth asked. Lloyd quickly replied “I believe that majors Brom, Gatrie and Presea will be handling the front line.” “OOOOOOH, WHAT ABOUT ME GENERAL??!!” screeched Zelos, a magical swordsman and first in command to the general. Lloyd looked at him for a moment as to assess the stupidity of Zelos’s question, then answered “Well, you are a magic user and you should know that all magic users and archers will be in the back line inflicting ranged damage.” “Awwwww that’s no fun” Zelos sadly replied.

“OH LLOYD?” Ike tried desperately to get Lloyd’s attention back. “……Oh whoops…sorry Ike I was just remembering the good old days in the last Great War…..” Lloyd dreamily replied. “Yes, those were good times” Ike said. “We fought side by side at every twist and turn, we never split up” Ike fondly replied. “Now, back to what I was saying” Ike said. “We need to gather up the old army again.” “Wait, why?” Lloyd impatiently questioned. “You still haven’t told me what happened on your scouting mission in the Wastelands.” “Oh, that’s right” Ike remembered.

“Well, I was scouting inside the inner ring of the lost city, when I stumbled upon Mithos.”After hearing that, Lloyd spit out his apple gel. “But….but…we…how?” Lloyd asked in a shocked tone. “Ike, I thought we killed Mithos in the last Great War…..” “I was just as shocked as you were” Ike exclaimed. “Now, let me finish” Ike said. “Mithos was just walking around the inner ring of the city whe-” Lloyd cut him off. “WAIT, are you sure it was him?” “Yes, I could clearly tell it was him, he had his flowing blond hair and those piercing green eyes…….and worst of all….his dreaded angel wings.” “Damn….” Lloyd remarked. “Wait one minute Ike, the inner ring of the city….isn’t that where the enemy base was in the last Great War?” “Now you’re starting to follow what I’m saying!!” said Ike happily.

“The Enemy Line”

 “So?” Lloyd asked, “What was Mithos doing?” “LET ME FINISH AND I WILL TELL YOU!!” Ike yelled. Lloyd then hung his head gesturing for Ike to continue. “I was hiding within the Inner ring listening in on Mithos and someone else talking” said Ike. “I couldn’t get a good look at who Mithos was talking to, but he was shadowy and big, very big, and muscular….. He had an incredibly evil presence about him; it loomed throughout the whole city.” Ike shivered at the thought of the shadowy figure. “Mithos and his accomplice were talking about the Creamian Empire and weapons and other subjects having to do with war.” said Ike.

 “I waited there until I knew that they were gone and snuck around the inner ring until I found a room that felt…evil.”  Ike said bravely. “I walked in and saw cages upon cages of undead warriors and other monsters.” “I explored the room until a found a bulletin board. On the board was a piece of paper that was clearly the outline of their intentions.” At that moment, Ike pulled out an oak parchment with several inscriptions on it. “These are the enemy plans for the assault on the Creamian Empire.” Ike said with confidence. “How is Mithos going to formulate an attack with his plans being stolen by you?” Lloyd anxiously asked. “I saw Mithos give another copy of this paper to the shadowy figure that he was talking to” Ike replied sadly.

Lloyd shook his head in concern at the situation. “How shall we go about rounding up the troops then?” “FINALLY, a good question” laughed Ike. “I have composed a list of everyone who was in our old army in the last Great War. I suggest that we go down the list crossing off each person we find one by one.” Ike exclaimed. “There were nearly 5,000 people in our old army, how do you hope to have enough time to find all of the people on that list?” Lloyd asked. Ike calmly replied, “Well, we have to hope that Mithos’s plans are also under developed and that we will have time to strategize.” Ike said somberly. “Is this really happening Ike?” Lloyd asked in disbelief. “I’m afraid it is General, I’m afraid it is” Lloyd and Ike then proceeded to pack their supplies and sheath their swords in preparation for the long journey ahead of them.

 Both Ike and Lloyd looked at their blades fondly. Ragnell, Ike’s blade of holy proportions, was blessed by a goddess. It was yellow as the stars and had intense runic energy pulsing from it. Lloyd was a twin blade swordsman meaning that he fought with two blades. His blades were forged by his beloved father Dirk. One was made from the element of fire and it burned with the heat of ten thousand suns. The other was made from the element of water. It was a deeper and more beautiful azure than even Ike’s blinding hair. If you put the two blades together, they would make a soft hissing sound and make a small amount of steam. After fondly remembering how well their blades served them over the years, Ike and Lloyd set off on their quest to find their comrades to battle evil once again.

“The Journey Begins”

  So now both Lloyd and Ike were prepared for their long journey to find their old allies and go into battle with them once more. Ike and Lloyd had both packed very carefully and made sure that they didn’t miss a thing. They packed 20,000 gald, apple and orange gels to restore their ability to use magic and restore their health, Ike brought a few Vulineries that would heal him better than gels, and, last but not least, they each brought a few antidotes just in case they got poisoned.

 Ike and Lloyd carefully looked down the list of people who were in their old army. As they did, they were overwhelmed by memories of the past Great War. “Zelos, get over here, you too Marth!” Lloyd exclaimed. “What is it general?” both Zelos and Marth asked in unison. “I was just informed by Lord Ike that we are all going to form a special assault team. “OOOOOH” yelled Zelos. “THAT SOUNDS AWESOME!” “Hmmmm….I guess that might be fun….” remarked Marth. “Well, fun or not Lord Ike says that’s what we’re doing.” said Lloyd

”Lloyd wake up!!” Shouted Ike, “Why do you keep drifting off??!” “I’m sorry Ike,” Lloyd sadly replied. “It’s just that I remember the Great War so fondly and old memories are coming back to me a lot recently.” “Well try to forget that for now, the next person on the list is Genis, captain of the mages.” Ike sternly said. “Oh, well that’s good because he lives a few houses away from me!” Lloyd gleefully replied. “Well, let’s go break him the news” Ike said. “I’m pretty sure that someone else from our old army also lives with him” Lloyd exclaimed. “Who might that be Lloyd?” Ike asked. “Well, remember Presea, the captain of the cavalry?” Lloyd questioned. “Of course Lloyd, she was a key component to us winning in The Great War.” Ike impatiently replied. “Well” Lloyd said, “Genis and her hit it off pretty well and they are now married and even have their own house.” “Honestly, I’m not surprised” Ike said calmly, “They were always making advances toward each other on the Battlefield.”

After walking through Iselia Village a ways, Ike and Lloyd arrived at Genis and Presea’s house. Knock Knock Knock was the sound of Lloyd’s three raps on the door. “Well hello there Lloyd” Presea said as she finished opening the large wooden door. “How have you been doing?” Just then, Ike came into her view. “Wait, what? Lord Ike? What in the holy goddess’s name are you doing in Iselia?” “We have something important to discuss with you and your husband Genis Milady,” Ike calmly replied. “Ok, ok come and have a seat. I just started brewing some hot cocoa.” Presea then warmly invited them in. Ike and Lloyd sat down in two blue chairs that were facing each other. Shortly after Ike and Lloyd had sat down, Genis walked in. “Oh Presea honey, have you finished piling the wood out ba-” Genis then cut his sentence short and dropped the book he had in his hands. “WHAT??!……IKE??!” Genis shouted. “It’s ok Genis, were here to discuss a grave situation with you and Presea.” Lloyd said reassuringly. “WHAT SITUATION??!” Genis shouted even louder then before. “Stop yelling Genis!!” Ike angrily replied. “There may be another Great War on our hands, that’s why we’re here!” Genis’s jaw dropped so far down that Presea thought it was going to fall off. “But….I….Mithos…Blargggghh.” Genis then fainted hitting his head on the cobble stone floor.

“Memories”

 After the whole situation was explained to Genis and Presea, everyone started to remember The Great War.

“Captains ASSEMBLE!!” shouted Ike. “Here Lord,” replied all of the captains at once. “Now, I’m going to take attendance to make sure that we are ready for the invasion on the enemy base.” Ike explained. “Captain of the swordsmen?” Ike asked. “Here lord Ike.” exclaimed Kratos, a magical swordsman just like Zelos and the most skilled duelist in the entire country. “Commander of the Mages?” Ike asked again. “HERE LORD IKE.” Screamed Genis, a powerful warlock and the only one who has over ten thousand spells in their spell book. “Leader of the Healing Division?” “Here, my Lord.” said Raine a master of healing spells and the only cleric with 20 years of healing experience under her belt. “Leaders of the Assassination Team?” “Here, Lord!” replied two voices, those of Sheena Fujibayashi and Volke. Both of them are incredibly skilled assassins and were so much of an even match that they decided to be co-captains. “Leader of the Rangers Assembly?” “Here.” Whispered the voice of Shinnon, a mysterious archer who had a knack for pinpointing enemy soft spots.

 After a few more minutes of taking attendance, Ike felt that everyone was here and prepared for battle. “Gosh,” Genis said barely escaping from his distant memory, “that sure was a long time ago!” “Anyway,” said Lloyd, “we should all get going.” And so Lloyd and Ike set out with Genis and Presea in search of the next person on their list.

“The List”

 “So!,” exclaimed Genis, “who is next on the list?” “Good question,” said Ike, “it says here that Zelos is next….do any of you know where he might be?” “Zelos and Sheena have been seen traveling in a caravan with a squad of ninja all across Sylvarant,” Presea said. “Hmm,” mumbled Lloyd, “why don’t we skip them and go to the next person on the list? Zelos and Sheena might be hard to find.” “Ok,” Ike agreed, “the next person on the list is…aha, Kratos Aurion.” “Ike….I regret to inform you that shortly after the Great War….Kratos died,” said Genis solemnly. “What a shame, he was a brave and noble warrior,” said Ike with tears in his bright blue eyes. Suddenly, Genis saw something creeping up behind Ike. “Watch out behind you Ike!!” screamed Genis. Quick as a flash Ike unsheathed his gargantuan sword and with one graceful swing, split the Skeleton warrior who was trying to kill him in half.

“The First Battle”

 “That was close,” Lloyd said in a relieved tone. “There are more skeletons coming,” stated Presea. “Battle stances everyone,” commanded Ike. A skeleton then rushed towards Genis before he had time to react. “Genis, NO,” shouted Presea. Presea plunged her axe into the ground sending a large chunk of rock towards the undead warrior with immense force. “Thanks Presea,” exclaimed Genis. “Stay on your toes damn it!” Lloyd screamed, “there are still twelve more to kill.” Upon hearing that, now ready with his spell book Genis cast eruption sending four skeletons to a fiery grave. To match that, Lloyd used double demon fang turning two of the undead into dust. Right when Presea was about to deliver the finishing blow, Ike put his hand out in front of her. “Let me finish this,” he said angrily. GREAT AETHER! The skeletons shattered into a thousand pieces. ”Hey guys look at this, “said Lloyd, “these skeletons all have green M’s tattoed on their backs. They are definately with Mithos.” “It looks like Mithos has already begun his attack,” said Presea wearily. “Damn….he must have seen me in the inner ring,” said Ike, very upset with himself.

 “We should all stay a night at the Iselia Inn to recover and discuss what we will do next,” said Lloyd. “Yeah….I could use a rest,” said Ike breathing heavily.

“The First Battle”

“Hold up”

 After a refreshing night at the Iselia Inn, Lloyd, Genis, Presea, and Ike set back out with the list. “Is there anyone near here that we can recruit?,” asked Ike. “Well…,” thought Lloyd, “I recently met a young man named Emil. He wasn’t in our old army… but he has tremendous fighting ability.” “Where does this Emil live?,” asked Ike. “He lives just outside of Iselia in the forest with his girlfriend Marta.” “Well….what are we waiting for,” asked Genis excitedly, “let’s go get him.”

 On their way into the forest the gang stopped at the Iselia general store to pick up some supplies. “MMM… I could make a juicy stew out of that!,” Genis said dreamily pointing to the steak and potatoes. “Then go ahead and buy them Genis. We’ve got plen-” Lloyd was cut off by the slamming of the store door.

Two bandits and an archer stepped in with their knives and bows ready. “This is a robbery!,” yelled the bigger of the two bandits. “Yeah, give us all of your gald or else you die,” threatened the archer. “I think we are going to have to do something about this,” whispered Lloyd to Ike. Ike chuckled playfully. Lloyd then stood up and stared down the robbers. “You have till the count of ten until my buddy Ike here gets mad,” Lloyd growled. “What did you just say punk??!,” demanded the smaller of the two bandits. Lloyd started his count.

 “One, two, three, four.” Just then one of the archer’s arrows flew across the room headed in Lloyd’s direction. Ike appeared in front of him to deflect the arrow as if it were a child’s toy. Lloyd continued counting, “five, six, seven, eight.” The smaller bandit rushed at Ike. The sickening sound of his skull being shattered by Ike’s sword handle permeated around the shop. Lloyd started to finish his count again, “nine and-.” Another arrow whizzed through the air this time Ike deflected it back at the archer having the arrow pierce his arm. “Ten,” Lloyd finished. “You haven’t seen the last of us,” said the bandit angrily over the screams of pain of the archer. The bandit threw the archer over his shoulder and ran out of the shop as fast as he could. “Get that bandit to a hospital,” commanded Lloyd. “Don’t worry,” Ike said, “He’ll be ok. I didn’t really hit him that hard.”

“The Cottage in The Forest”

“Oh thank you, thank you so much,” the shop keeper said in delight. “How can I ever repay you?” “Not neccesary friend,” said Ike. We are simply on our way to meet some friends. So the foursome walked out of the store proud of what they had done. As they were about to enter Iselia forest Ike decided to set some ground rules. “First of all, don’t touch ANY plants, some of them are alive and therefore dangerous. Next, stay together and pay attention to your surroundings. There are rumors of bandits who lurk in these woods waiting to ambush unsuspecting citizens.” Wait a sec,” Lloyd interrupted, “maybe those bandits came from some hideout here.” “Maybe,” Ike said. “Let’s get going you guys,” said Presea excitedly. About halfway through the hike Genis thought he heard trees falling down a ways behind him and the group. “Do you hear that you guys?,” asked Genis timidly. “I….I think I do,” Ike replied with worry.

“Well, whatever it is it’s way behind us so dont worry guys,” exclaimed Presea. So the gang walked on in the shady forest until they noticed a cottage. “That must be Emil and Marta’s house!,” Lloyd shouted. “Sheathe your weapons so we don’t frighten them,” Ike commanded. So Presea rapped on the door three times and it opened. Standing in the doorway was a young man about eighteen with bright blonde hair and lime green eyes, and a young woman also about eighteen with brownish redish hair and innocent brown eyes. Emil was dressed in a casual purple outfit that looked as if it didn’t fit him due to it’s baginess. The woman was dressed in a floral pink skirt and she had on red velcro boots. “Lloyd? Is that you?,” asked the man. “It is!,” said the woman. “Oh, it’s so good to see you again,” they both said together. “Ike, I would like to introduce you to Emil and Marta.”

Emil and Marta welcomed the gang in warmly. Ike, Presea and Lloyd sat down to explain The Great War and why they were at Emil and Marta’s house while Genis accompanied Marta in the kitchen. “Mmm, Genis that potato steak stew smells delicious,” laughed Marta. “Why thank you it is my specialt-” BOOM!!! The whole pot of stew fell to the floor. “WHAT WAS THAT?,” Genis screeched. Everyone rushed outside to see what had made that noise. “Come out and play you dirty punks,” snarled a strange and cruel voice. “SHOW YOURSELF,” Lloyd demanded. Out of the woods stepped two mages, one archer, and ten bandits with leather armor and bandanas on except for the one in front. This one had red cloth armor and a wreath of rusted metal around his head. “I am Hippo the leader of the Nightside bandits,” anounced the bandit with the wreathe on his head.

“You interfered with one of my crew’s robberies and injured my men…..and now you’re going to pay.” “We can handle these guys they don’t have any sign of heavy artillery,” whispered Lloyd to Ike. “Oh, I almost forgot,” said Hippo. He then proceeded to pull a shimmering silver flute out of his pocket. He played a quick little tune and trees starting crashing to the forest floor behind him. “What….what the hell is that?,” Ike asked. Out of the forest stomped an ogre as tall as the trees themselves. His mouth was full of blood and chewed meat and his stomach was enormous. Emil and Marta fled inside because they had abandoned their weapons after moving into the forest long ago. The bandit put his hands in a cone around his mouth, “FEEL THE WRATH OF THE NIGHT!!”

“Things Get Serious”

The ogre along with the bandits came rushing forward in an earthquake of fury. “Genis take care of those mages or were all dead!” commanded Lloyd. “ON IT.” Genis whipped out his spell book and cast blizzard, freezing the two mages in place rendering them useless. Presea rushed forward with her giant axe and drove it into the ground. Shards of rock cut the skin of three of the bandits weakening them greatly. She then hit two of the three bandits with the blunt side of her axe smashing them into the ground. She dodged the blade of the third and struck him in the back, this time with the razor sharp end of the blade felling him in one swing. Hippo, the ogre, one archer, and seven bandits remained. Ike and Lloyd advanced forward and began to attack the ogre.

Ike distracted it by slashing at it’s ankles while Lloyd ran up its leg, hung onto it’s loincloth and swung onto it’s back. Genis then focused in on the archer. “It’s not easy to dodge arrows and cast spells at the same time,” Genis thought to himself. Even still he found enough time to be able to cast lightening which shocked the archer enough to cease his attacking momentarily. Hippo sat back and watched his bandits work, becoming nervous very slowly as he started to realize who he was up against. Presea, beginning to wear down, called over Genis for help. Genis cast earthquake, shaking the bandits up and trapping them underground.

Now that the bandits were taken care of, only the injured archer, the Ogre, and Hippo remained. Lloyd ran up the back of the gargantuan ogre and landed on the top of his head. He unsheathed his blade of fire and struck the Ogre through the skull and into his brain. Before the ogre could react, it fell to the ground with a tremendous thud. “Are you sure that you can take us all Hippo?,” questioned Presea confidently. “Well, there’s no harm in trying.” Hippo reached for his flute and played another tune. The cloth tunic that Hippo was wearing began to expand. “They don’t call me Hippo for nothing you fools!” Suddenly, Hippo bore huge, threatening muscles bigger then Ike’s sword. Hippo’s flute began to glow and then produced a beam of light, about the length of a sword from the tip. “You see, I stole this flute from the Museum of Grodin, it was blessed by the gods to lend mortals power…if they know how to use it.” “But thats impossible!,” yelled Genis. “That is probably the most secure place in the world…all the holy artifacts are brought there.” “Elite Bandits, such as myself,” snorted Hippo, “can do this.” He was gone. “Where are you coward?!,” demanded Genis. Hippo’s voice whispered, “well, I’m not going to fight you now, that would be no fun. I’ll wait for the the next Great War for that!” “Are you with Mithos?,” threatened Ike. Hippo ignored the question and ran off laughing, still invisible.

Prologue: Lloyd & Richter’s Surge

Hey I’m Sapphire and well I am going to tell you how my journey started and why I hate Lloyd and Richter. It all started 6 months ago in my port town called Seasadrus. Ever since the New World Tree was destroyed many bad events have been happening. Now Lloyd and Richter think that the cause of this was because of all the port towns forming together to destroy the people of the curch of Martel. One day in Seasadrus Lloyd and Richter come to my town and start causing massive destruction. Left and Right all you see is houses burning people getting injured and it seemed like a surge a war. Then, I came and had a little talk with Lloyd and Richter. “ Hey Lloyd and Richter why are you killing my people and causing destruction just like what Lloyd did in Palmacosta a year ago?” Lloyd says “Well Sapphire your people and all the other port towns want to destroy the Church of Martel because you think were the ones who destroyed the New World Tree.” I reply, What the hell made you think of that. I want to kill you for what you did and I think I will start with Richter!” Richter says “Ha! What a joke but ok I will enjoy destroying you.” Then the battle started. Richter and I, I was using my lance and he had a sword and a small weapon that looked like a spinner. The battle was long but I somehow won by using one of my Arcane Artes. After that Lloyd ran of with astonishment with Richter and I was satisfied but I didn’t kill Richter for a reason. Now I am going to go on my journey to look for centurion cores with my centurion Aqua and destroy Lloyd and Richter! I had a feeling that all the port towns were going to be affected by these two jerks who have no brains and never care for anyone but themselves. My journey will start with the next port town of Palmacosta.
End of Prologue: Lloyd and Richter’s Surge

After beating Richter in a battle I decided to go to the neighboring town of Palmacosta. When I arrived in Palmacosta it reminded me of Seasadrus because houses were bured and yady yady ya. Then, I saw Lloyd run after a girl with some red jewl on her head. I decided to run after Lloyd and try to save the girl. Eventually I caught up with Lloyd just before he attacked the girl. “You get away from that girl right now Lloyd! You have no right to kill people for the destruction you have done!” “If it’s a battle you want sapphire it’s a battle you will get! Now I find myself fighting Lloyd the great. Of course Lloyd uses his dual swords while I just have 1 lance. The battle was long and eventually we both were too tired to fight. “Damn Sapphire I did not know you were strong enough to tire me out. It’s your lucky day that I am leaving this place so for now good bye!” just like that Lloyd was gone and I was in shock. After he left I went towards the girl. “Are you ok? Are you hurt or anything?” She replied, “Yes I am alright thank you for helping me. By the way what is your name?” “Sorry my apologies my name is Sapphire what is yours?” “My name is Marta thanks for saving me. “Ok Marta I got to go start my journey to defeat Lloyd and Richter do you want to come with me?” “Yes, but Richter is with Lloyd too? Richter can’t get this core on my head. Before you say anything I will tell you what this core on my head is.” Marta then tells me this whole story about Ratatosk and her centurion Tenebrae. Then, I told her about how I got my centurion Aqua from Richter. She seemed shocked and surprised. Then, we headed for the next town to continue the quest to get revenge on Lloyd and Richter.

Chapter 2: The Truth About Sapphire

Turns out that there is only one other port town to go to and Marta and I were on our way to Izoold. However, on our way there, Marta kept dumping me with strange questions. I could not have said no so I let her ask all the curious questions she wanted answers to. Right now I guess you all are going to find out who I truly am and how I was able to stop two really good fighters. “Hey sapphire do you have a minute?” “Shure Marta what do you want.” “Well I want to ask you questions but I am going to ask you a lot and YOU BETTER GIVE ME AN ANSWER!!!” “Ok? Lay it on me Marta” “Alright first off how were you able to stop Lloyd and Richter?” “I knew you would ask that but I am a very skilled Warrior and I can’t tell you much more unless your next questions deal with that” “Ok question two is why did you get Aqua from Richter?” “I got Aqua for two reasons. One is that I did not want Aqua to go on the path of evil. The second reason is that because I am the Guardian of Oceans.” “The Guardian of Oceans?” “Yes it means that I protect the people who live by the seas and to stop anyone who trys to destroy anyone or anything by the shores of oceans.” “Wow that must be really tough and I guess that means you are an Aqua Warrior.” “Yep I was an Aqua Warrior before I was a Guardian and that’s why I have all this power to beat anybody.” “Wow sapphire I can’t believe all this about you.” After all the questions were over Aqua started to talk. “Working with sapphire was much better then Richter and when I found out who he was, I myself was shocked.” “Alright guys time to go to Izoold. I really hope the people there are not affected by those two…..” I was cut short and I heard Aqua laughing. So now we all were en route to Izoold.

Chapter 3: It’s the End of the World as We Know It

My group and I finally arrived in Izoold and what do we see? Well here is what we saw: houses burning, people dying on the ground, and a town in chaos. To me it was like a hurricane that made the town look like a wasteland. “What the hell happened here? I’m gona kill those two…………” “Sapphire don’t say it!!!!” “Awww why do you have to ruin the fun Marta” “Hahaha you humans are soo funny” “Why do you say that Aqua?” “Well we centurions do not get this fun right tenebre?” “Indeed Aqua you are correct” “Well it seems like it’s the end of the world as we know it.” “Why do you say that sapphire?” “Well look what the two idiots did to all the port towns. I have the right to kill those !@#$%^&*.” “Jez sapphire you don’t have to be that harsh.” “I always hated people from the church of martel anyway” “So what are we going to do now sapphire?” I paused for a moment and I was too shocked about the past events that occurred. I really want to demolish Lloyd Richter and any other asses who join those two. Now I decided that my group should find the mayor of this town. “Alright guys I say we should find the mayor of this town. Maby he has some information on those two bozos.” “Ok sapphire I agree with that. Lets hope we can find the mayor before it’s too late.” So after a long search we found the mayor! We asked him our questions and he had some useful information. He said to go to Flanior and look for a mage named Rita and ask her to join on our journey and go to the temple of ice to find Glacius’s Core and revive it again. Everybody agreed and it was set. Our next stop on our journey train was Flanior. All are aboard and now the train was rolling on its way to the icey lands of Flanior to find the mysterious mage.

“Finally were in Flanior! Now we need to find that Rita mage.” “Ya sapphire but we don’t know where to find this mage. “Duh we will ask somebody its not like she is not a normal person. Rita is a skillful mage after all.” “Right so now lets ask someone quickly because I am freezing.” “Ya me too lets hurry!” After asking a few people, my group and I finally found out where Rita is. We found out she was in the inn and when we found that out, I felt like an idiot. We finally found Rita at the inn and started a little chat with her.” “Aloha you must be Rita Mordio correct?” “Yes and why are you here?” “Well my group and I are looking for the Glacius core and we all know it is in the Temple of Ice. The mayor of Izoold told us to look for you in Flanior before Lloyd and Richter get the core first.” “Oh ok now I understand. I will help you get the core and I want to join you guys because I want to destroy those two idiots too! I hate how they want to get all these precious cores.” “It’s fine by me and by the way where are you from?” “Well im from a different continent and the town I was from is Aspio. There are many of mages there and it’s really dark.” “That sounds like a cool place to live. Anyway let me introduce you to everyone! We have Marta, and our two centurions Tenebre and Aqua. Alright now that that’s done lets head to the ice temple” “Ya lets go everyone, lets get that core!” I like how we have Rita on our team now. She seems like she knows her stuff and she is a mage. Now we are heading for the freezing depths of the Temple of Ice to find Glacius’s Core to revive another centurion. I just hope we don’t freeze up before we get there!

Chapter 5: Frozen Foes

“Damn its so cold in this place! How do people survive?” “Quit your whining Marta just keep fighting! “Now I hope you know some fire spells Rita because all the foes we fight are going to be Ice Element and Fire would burn them to a crisp.” “You don’t have to worry about a thing sapphire! I got plenty of spells to melt down our frozen foes.” I guess I can trust Rita and seeing the way she fights, Rita is a pretty damn good mage. I know we will have no problem getting to the alter and fighting some random monster guarding the core. I’m not scared either and this will probably be easier than I thought it would be. For a while the monsters were easy and the puzzles were easy to figure out. Before you knew it we were almost to the core and things were going a little too smooth. Luckily things did get harder and Marta was having a hard time. Battle after battle Rita and I had to help Marta from getting freezed or some other bad thing. Soon though I have to make a hard choice to make, witch girl do I want to guard as a guardian of oceans. The road to the core was long but soon it would be over before my group knew it. Now we are half way there and things were getting harder and harder. At first I thought Marta was going to give up, but hopefully I was wrong about that. Anyway one monster that questioned me was this giant dog called Fenier. It was tough to take down and it looked more like a wolf then a large dog. It had all these icicles on it and it roar was like a shriek of terror. Finally, after a long puzzling adventure, my group and I were finally at the alter. We were ready to fight whatever monster comes to defend that damn core.

Part 1 Epilogue: Glacius is Reborn!

“Finally we are at the alter of Glacius. I hope we can finish this quickly.” “Ya you guys are lucky I came along.” “Phew I thought I was a goner with all this ice.” Lady Marta this is unacceptable, you are stronger than this! Stop acting so weak!” “Tenebre you are so mean, apparently Marta is just generally weak against Ice Tenebre!” “Shut your mouth Aqua! I will not let you insult Lady Marta like that!” “Enough both of you stop your fighting! We need to get this damn core!” Basically that was done and now its back to business. Before we can get the core we needed to fight this Ice Warrior named Iceyfeet. Damn that warrior was tough but I showed him who was the better warrior! Afterwards it was time to get Glacius’s Core. I went up, got the core and gave it to Marta. She then brought back Glacius to our world and Glacius was reborn! We all learned new skills and set out for our next spot. Next, we decided to invade Lloyd’s hometown Iselia. This is going to be awesome to get my revenge for what Lloyd did to Seasadrus. “Alright guys before we invade Iselia, we need to get more fighters to get on our group. I have a few people we could get for this and we will find them quickly.” “Alright sapphire I bet I could guess one of them. Judith is one of them because of her spear skills right?” “Ya you read my mind Rita and Judith is not going to be hard to get! Next I want you guys to get me a list of people who can help us on our long journey!” At that moment I knew I was going to be the leader of a new army! I could not wait to start this plan and we all know it will work. Looks like I will just have to wait for my perfect timing to get my long awaited revenge!

Tales of Seaside [Part 2: Making a Guild]

Prologue: Finding the Pieces of the Puzzle

Before going anywhere else I’m thinking that I have to get more people to join my little group and try to make it an army. This is going to be tough to find people, but I am remembering the time when I saw a girl who seemed perfect to join. Well guess I’m getting a little love struck there, but now back to the business. Making a well balanced team is necessary to succeed in my goal and I must get certain type of people to join. So far, the team is only me, Marta, and Rita. Luckily I got my best friend Greg to join our team so at least we have 2 guys and 2 girls plus 2 centurions. For me to be satisfied however, I want a team of 10 or 12. That means, I need 5 more guys, and 5 more girls to join the team and hopefully start a guild. Rather than an army, guilds are better because you make the rules so it is fair for everyone. Right now I really do not have anyone in mind to join besides that one girl named………….SHOOT! I forgot her name silly me:p. Anyway, I told everybody that were going to have a little game of search and join. They did not know what I was talking about, but eventually I told them and to be honest my group felt like idiots! I expected better from Greg because he is the “smart mage” in our group and he basically knows everything. Maby Greg and Rita will………….hehehe looks like I was about to go too far there;p  I guess now I will tell you about Greg. Well, Greg was one of my best friends when we were little kids and we always liked to go out on our own. Eventually we liked adventuring on our own so we decided to get our first weapons. I had a spear easy to use and Greg had easy magic to use. Now I’m going to look for the Chosen of Regeneration to hopefully join the team!

Chapter 1: Chosen of Regeneration

“Ok everybody were now going to find Colette and hopefully get her to join us and get our team bigger” “Sounds like a good plan to me Sapph” “Awwww come on Greg why did you have to call me the nickname you made! Now everybody is going to laugh.” “Duh that was the point Sapph” After that little chat everybody did burst into laughter for about 45 min. “Now that you are all done finally laughing we have A LOT OF GROUND TO COVER UP!!!!” “Anyway, sadly were going to………….gulp Iselia” “WHHHHHAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT” “Damn I didn’t think everyone would react like that but that’s where she lives, but Lloyd is not there and neither is any of his friends. “Awwww but I wanted to burn the hell out of Lloyd’s friend Genis! I have to hurt that little shrimp for what he did!!!” “That’s nice Rita? Anyway Iselia is right there so lets find Colette!” “ Wow I have not been to Iselia in a while”, said Marta. “I heard it’s a nice but ranch-like place”. said Greg. “Finally were here at last; now we just need to find Colette. There I think she is over there; I will go talk to her. “Excuse me girl, are you the Chosen” “Yes I am Colette the Chosen of Regeneration!” “Great! My name is Sapphire and we would like you to join our soon to be guild! Would you like to join? “Shure that would be nice, I am tired of this place. “Great let me show you the rest of the people in our group.” Everybody was thrilled to see Colette be on our team and I was happy to have another member. Now I have to go and find someone else to join and that would be Decus. I don’t think Marta will be happy, but Decus and I were great buddies and had awesome fun! Now my gang and I have to go to the Vanguard Base and hope Decus joins our team.

Chapter 2: Sapphire’s Mistake

“Ok guys we are now going to enter the Vanguard Base! Nobody get too nervous because I have a bad feeling about this.” Why do you say that Sapph? I know this is where a bad group of people are but I don’t think it will be all that bad.” “Well Greg, I kinda have a bad past with the vanguard and I really hope they do not try to kill us all.” “Nice going Sapph, but I don’t get how Decus and Alice came back to life after Emil and I killed them.” “Can you all just shut the hell up about your damn past experiences and stick to the objective!” “Jez Rita you did not have to be so harsh but you do got a point! Anyway move out everyone it’s time to go in!” Things seemed like they were going a liitle too easy, but then after wandering in the base for a while, Decus  came out of the blue and noticed me right away. “Well well well if it isn’t the Guardian of Oceans. I can’t believe you were brave enough to come here with a little group! I know you want me to join your little group, but that will never happen and now it’s time for you all to die! Alice, get over here and help me get my revenge on these worthless @##$#@%&*!” “DAMN IT! HOW THE HELL DID I WALK IN THIS TRAP!! Oh well, time to fight guys, give it your all! “I think I will go after Colette first and then Mart Mart next hehehe♥” “There is no way your gona beat me this time Alice! As the Chosen of Regeneration I will do my best to punish the evil that threatens me!” “I beat you once Alice, I will beat you again and this time you will be gone for good!” “Damn it Decus I never thought we would have to fight each other like this, but I guess I’m wrong.” “Haha your so right Sapphire, and now I’m gona show you no mercy! Chapter 3: Raining Depression

“Hey guys are you all doing fine because I don’t think this is going to end well!” “Greg here and I’m fine” “Colette here and I am fine too” “Rita here and things are fine.” “Marta here and I’m doing fine for the time being.” “Well that’s a good thing, but the battle is just going to get tougher and tougher.” Just when I thought things were going to get better, it was getting worse and worse. Afterwards I noticed Decus and Alice tag team on Marta and that’s when I knew I was right about the “things getting worse”. “Guys! We need to help Marta, she is getting double teamed!” “Alright Alice let’s end her life! Double Trouble Slassssshhhh!!!!!” “Hurry Marta get out of there before it’s too late!!!” “Ahhh I don’t think I can!!!!” “Marta NOOOOOOOOOO” A big flash of light came and then I knew she was gone. Everyone was speechless for a few minutes until we got back to the battle. “………… Well I guess we should retreat now, there is nothing much to do now.” “Ya I agree Sapph we have no chance of winning” “I agree too Greg, but I really wanted to fireball that little brat!” “You will get your chance next time Rita, but for now lets just find someone to replace Marta. “Were finally out of the base but it is raining outside. Can this day get any worse than it has already been?” “I really don’t know but does anybody have an idea on who we’re getting next” I say we simply let fate decide who will join us next. For now were going to go to the desert by Meltokio, I need a good place to relax for a bit.” “Ya Sapph I totally agree with you, we have just seen a catastrophic event and walking through a desert is a perfect way to calm down.” For the 1^st time in a while Greg and I were on the same page. Now it is time to go to the blistering deserts near the huge city of Meltokio and hope for the best.

Well guys here we are in this damn desert! Let’s hope we can find someone to take Marta’s place. “Do you have anyone in mind yet Sir Soshureofhimself?” “Not quite and I don’t need your damn name calling Rita! I know I made a mistake and were all suffering from it.” “Just then I saw a girl traveling through the desert and she seemed perfect for our future guild. She had blonde hair and beautiful ocean blue eyes. It was like love at first sight until Greg slapped the living daylight out of me. “Blast it Sapphy if you really love the girl then go get her! Don’t just stand there and daze off in her beauty!” I decided to approach the girl and started talking with a simple hello. “Hi my name is Sapphire and you seem like a very good fighter. Would you like to like to join our team?” “Shure my name is Sophie and I think that’s sweet of you to offer me to join your group. I have been feeling lonely lately so I guess I have no choice!” Perfect I thought, I’m a lonely guardian too and I think I can make this girl mine. I introduced everyone to our new recruit and everyone got along well. For once I have done something right and worth a wonder. Now the next step is to create that special bond with Sophie and the perfect way to do this is in the coliseum in Meltokio. Just me and her battling endless monsters until our hearts run out. Man I just can’t wait until we get to the big city. “Hey Sapph is it ok if we call it a night and camp out for the night?” “Shure I think that’s a great idea because I’m tired too and we finally got out of the desert. I guess now that ends our very tiring day of going through a desert. The next day will come and we will be living in paradise in the big city!

“Finally we are in Meltokio and this place brings back memories!” “Oh ya Colette you have been here many times before!” “Hey not to crash in or anything but where did Sapphire and Sophie run off to without any notice?” “Hey the hothead is right, where the hell are those two love birds?” “WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?” Just after that Rita slapped Greg in the face. “I guess I deserved that but damn that hurt.” “Enough fighting guys I think I found someone we could get to join our team!” “Oh I see him, let good ol’ Greg get this one!” “Hello there fighter my group and I are looking for people who want to join our future guild would you like to join? We could use a skilled archer like you on our team.” “Uhhh shure my name is Leonardo and thanks! After leaving the Dawn Brigade I think it’s perfect I start all over again.” “Cool I will show you the rest of the group and hopefully our leader is back. “Hey guys this is Leo and he is the newest member of our team! “Nice we finally got an archer great job Greg!” Just then Sapphire and Sophie came back. They said together, “Sooo how was it without us around!” Everyone replied, “WHERE THE HECK WERE YOU GUYS!!!” “We had some business to take care of and I see we got Leo on our team!” “Nice to see you again Leo.” “Ya it has been a while since we saw each other.” “Ok I know where we are going next to find people. We are going to go to gulp Lloyd’s town again because I got a plan. “Ok I like the sound of this lets do this I can’t wait to go back to his stupid town! Anyway we now have 3 girls and 2 boys and we are halfway there. I guess the next chapter I will talk about what happened with me and Sophie in this town! Until then this is all I have to write about.

 Like I said before, I will now talk about what Sophie and I did behind the others back. My original plan was to battle in the big dome and that’s what we exactly did. We both entered in the battle and there were 11 rounds. “ALRIGHT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE GOT A GREAT EVENT COMING!!! 11 ROUNDS OF HARD BRAWLING ACTION!!!! AND HERE COMES THE CHALLENEGERS!” “I really hate that announcer guy he yells too much.” “Me too Sophie but we have to focus on the battle!” “Your right let’s do this!” “The first few rounds were really easy and I could tell she was enjoying the battles. It was easy until the final round which I guess is supposed to be hard. We were battling against a very huge dragon. “Damn this thing is huge its gona be hard to take it down!” “Let’s just give it all we got ok Sapph?” “Ya let’s do this!” The battle was long and hard and well I got scared for a sec and here is why. “Ahhh Sapphy this dragon is really taking my defence down!” Hang in their Sophie I’m not gona loose another girl!” “Ugh I can’t take this any longer I’m Sorr……” NO SOPHIE PLEASE DONT DIE!” Oh thank god she fainted, but I still got this dragon to take care of. That’s it take this you damned dragon! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!” A big hurricane wave shot above Sapphire and he hit the dragon with his Hurricane Strike attack! “Now that that’s done, it’s time to save Sophie, and I hope my healing works. Here I go this should heal her one-hundred percent! A big blue light appeared and Sophie woke up! “Uh woah what just happened?” “Thank god Sophie you woke up! You fainted, I healed you, and I thought you were dead. “I’m fine thanks to you!” After that we got our prize and she kissed me on the lips. Man it was paradise! After that we went back to meet up with the others.
